KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Acting Chief Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar and Justice Mohammad Abdur Rahman allowed 35 identical petitions filed by Bismillah Logistics and others while suspending a circular through which Custom House Agent Licenses were suspended.
Shahan Ali and Shahab Imam Advocates represented the petitioners, Sardar Zafar Hussain represented the customs department while federal government was represented by Ms Saima Zaib Butt.
The bench noted that it has already decided the said issued in CP-D 466 of 2025 where in it was held that there was no immediate need of suspending the license of the Petitioners.
As Show Cause Notices have been issued to the petitioners, the bench asked the petitioners to respond to the Show Cause Notices while Licensing Authority was directed to pass appropriate order on the above Show Cause Notices strictly in accordance with law.
The petitioners if still aggrieved, they may avail appropriate remedy as may be available in law, the bench held while disposing of the petitions in above terms.
