KARACHI: F.I.A Cyber Crime Cell, Karachi promised to Karachi Union of Journalists to consider withdrawal of a notice issued to Farhan Malik of Raftar Digital Media.

Earlier journalists from Karachi led by Fahim Siddiqui, President Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) gathered in front of FIA Cyber Crime Circle, Gulistan-e-Johar on Tuesday to express solidarity with Raftar TV management and voiced their concern over harassment caused to the journalists and media exposing criminal and other elements involved in anti social activities, corruption etc.

Farhan Malik of Raftar TV appeared before the FIA authorities joined by his community. The FIA officials heard the concerns of the journalists and on demand for withdrawal of notice said that their officials are not present at the moment. They sought time to re-consider the issue of notice.

Farhan Malik is also on another notice for today Nov 20 and has been asked to appear before the FIA authorities at Islamabad.

Customs News.pk is also facing similar treatment by F.I.A Quetta angered by carrying of a news in which FIA Quetta officials acted in excess of jurisdiction in collusion with notorious smuggler, attacked, fired and took into custody custom officials and men working with custom authorities.
