QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement khurkera seized huge quantity of Marijuana (Cannabis sativa/weed) and apprehended three individuals along with a Mazda Truck.
According to the sources, Customs staff of Field Enforcement unit khurkera has been working tirelessly on information that Narcotics will be transported through Main RCD Highway.
Deputy Collector Syed Talha Salman constituted a special team comprising of Incharge khurkera Inspector Imran Khan and Inspector Muhammad Shahzad to intercept & seize the vehicle carrying Narcotics on 15-11-2024.
A Mazda Truck was intercepted accordingly. The Mazda had hidden cavities. Detailed examination of the cavities yielded recovery of 19.832 kgs of Marijuana/weed packed in plastic boxes & jars.
Three individuals including the driver & conductors of the Mazda Truck were arrested on the spot & presented before the magistrate.
The Investigation officer has taken remand of the accused & interrogation is underway.
The Investigation will be focused on finding the handlers & facilitators of the drugs consignment.

Deputy collector, Mr. Talha Salman has acknowledged the support & able leadership of Collector, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Gadani, Mr. Jamshed Ali Talpur & Collector. Mr Omar Shafique who had the look after charge while Mr. Talpur is abroad to perform Umrah.
The recently established Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Gadani had a great start by seizing smuggled goods that worth billions of rupees along with this latest seizure of Narcotics.
