KARACHI: Hearing a constitutional petition filed by M/s OTTO Manufacturing Private Limited, challenging a demand raised by customs, a Custom Appellate bench of High Court of Sindh ordered issuance of notices to respondents for 23.10.2024.
The petitioner company was represented by Expert Law Associates. Siddique Zia Advocate appearing for the petitioner submitted that demand was raised with out issuance of Show Cause Notice or Adjudication and such demand has been declared illegal by SHC in case titled M? Harris Silicone & Glasses versus Federation of Pakistan.
The SHC bench after hearing initial arguments ordered issuance of notices while restraining the department from any coercive action against the petitioner till next date of hearing.
