The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 15,982.9 million as of 27-Sep-2024. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:
i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 10,701.7 million
ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks : US$ 5,281.2 million
iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : US$ 15,982.9 million
During the week ended on 27-Sep-2024, SBP reserves increased by US$ 1,168 million to US$ 10,701.7 million. The increase in SBP’s reserves is mainly due to receipt of US$ 1,026.9 million from IMF under EFF program.
