KARACHI: The comments were called from Collector Custom Port Muhammad Bin Qasim within 15 days in a contempt plea filed by M.M.Steel.
The bench was hearing Rana Sakhawat Advocate appearing for the applicant/ petitioner who submitted that certain directions were given to the alleged contemnor vide order dated 8-11-2022 which were not complied with the bench after perusing the application called comments from Collector PMBQ while adjourning further hearing to a date to be fixed by the office of the court.
The court by order dated 8-11-2022 allowed the petition by M.M.Steel for mutilation of unserviceable Machine Rollers imported as part of consignment of remeltable steel & scrap holding that rules restricting mutilation of goods are decades old, have lost relevancy and for better environment needs to be changed.
