KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has nominated Focal Persons at all airports of the country to facilitate the genuine passengers arriving at international airports.
The communication was addressed to Collector of Customs Enforcement South Karachi, Central Lahore, Collector KP, Collector Islamabad and Collector Balochistan Quetta.
The focal persons nominated are:
1) Mr Yousuf Ali Khan Magsi Additional Collector – Jinnah International Airport Karachi.
2) Mr Irum Sohail, Additional Collector Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
3) Syed Babar Ali Shah, Collector Sialkot, Sialkot International Airport.
4) Mr Zakir, Additional Collector, Peshawar, Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar.
5) Mr Moeen Afzal, Additional Collector (Enforcement) Quetta at Quetta International Airport.
6) Mr Rana Irfan Shaukat Additional Collector Multan at Multan International Aiport.
7) Mr Mateen Alam, Additional Collector, Faisalabad International Airport.
All these focal persons were asked to ensure their availability round the clock over respective phone numbers.
The supervising Assistant / Deputy Collectors were asked to ensure that genuine passengers are not harassed and at the same time Kheepias be checked and it must be ensure that banned luxury items in commercial quantity are not imported and cleared under garb of personal baggage.
