KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Gwadar has surpassed its revenue collection target by 20.26 percent during July-February 2019-20.
Despite the Corona virus induced lockdown, Customs Intelligence and Investigation is pursuing the anti-smuggling campaign.
On the instructions of Director Irfan Javed, Assistant Director Khalid Umar and his team are keeping strict vigilance on the movement of smuggled goods, as the smugglers have increased their activities to take advantage of the lockdown.
Customs staff foiled several attempts of smuggling goods and seized goods including narcotics, cigarettes, gutka and other miscellaneous goods.
Customs Intelligence and Investigation Gwadar realized revenue of Rs767.29 million in eight months against the target of Rs638 million, surpassing the target by 20.26 percent.
