KARACHI: Anti-smuggling Organization ASO of MCC Preventive Karachi has recovered huge quantity of smuggled cigarettes, cigars, tobacco and gutka worth Rs43.18 million.
In the ongoing operation against smuggled goods and on the directives of Collector Saquif Saeed, ASO of MCC Preventive Karachi raided 4 godowns at Rang wala building Bolton Market and recovered huge quantity of Cigarettes , Cigars and Gutkha.
Despite the Corona virus induced lockdown, MCC Preventive is pursuing the anti-smuggling campaign.
On the instructions of Collector Saquif Saeed, Additional Collector Haroon Waqar Malik has assigned targets to ASO team comprising Deputy Collector Muhammad Asim Awan, Superintendent Jamal Zia IPS Iftikhar Hasan, and raids are being conducted accordingly.
FIR is lodged and investigation is underway.
