KARACHI: The compliance of two notifications issued by Federal Commerce Ministry and Federal Board of Revenue was ordered by a customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan on Tuesday.

The bench was hearing a petition filed by importer of Solar Panels, represented by Franklin Law Associates. A counsel from the law firm submitted two notifications dated July 18, 2019. According to notifications in cases of imports where in the banking contract was established by June 01, conditions of SRO 604 of 2019 will not apply.

The bench asked the petitioner side to supply the copy of the notifications to the respondent custom officials. The bench asked the custom officials to comply with the notifications and submit a compliance report by next date of hearing.
