KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Mrs Ashraf Jahan on Monday sought a reply from respondent customs officials in a petition pertaining to imported tooth brushes.
Hashim Brothers moved the court through law firm Franklin Law Associates. The petitioner side maintained that if a representation against Valuation Ruling is pending adjudication then as a matter of right provisional release be allowed. The court was prayed to direct the respondents for provisional release of the consignment.
The bench allowing the request directed the respondents for provisional release of the consigmment under section 81 of the Customs Act 1969 while seeking a written reply to the petition on or before May 23, next date of hearing.
