KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Omar Sial on Friday ordered release of a consignment of tiles while hearing a constitution petition against imposition of Regulatory Duty.
Earlier the counsel for petitioner/ importer, Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate referred to an interim order passed by the bench allowing release of consignments of tiles with benefit from SRO 497 of 2009.
The same bench also ordered release of a 27 year old passenger van which was detained by custom officials of the Port Qasim Collectorate. The petition was filed by owner/accused Muhammad Muhammad Ahmed.
The same bench hearing another petition filed by owner of an oil tanker ordered respondent custom officials to produce the vehicle before the court on Nov 24.
