KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Valuation has determined the customs values of pet food (cat & dog food) vide Valuation Ruling No.977/2016.
During routine analysis of import data, it was observed that volume of import of subject item has increased over time, however, the same are being cleared against guidelines price issued by a clearance collectorate.
The import values were observed to be on lower side vis-à-vis international selling prices available on line and also on lower side in comparison to local market prices of subject goods. Therefore, an exercise was undertaken to rationalize the values of subject goods.
