KARACHI: Opposition for the sake of opposition, baseless and senseless allegations on everyone for everything, extreme hypocrisy and insane demands describe Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan.

It seems that whatever agenda PTI led by aged Imran Khan is pursuing has nothing to do with the betterment of country, its people and most importantly its institutions.

There is nothing new in it when Imran Khan alleges the Institutions of corruption and even crimes; it is not new when Imran Khan resorts to the politics of agitation and even violence seizing the economic wheel of the country.

Quite recently, PTI Chief has alleged Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Nisar Mohammad Khan of laundering money for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. This statement does not surprise anybody because Imran Khan has often fallen to even lower levels in alleging country’s institutions and highly reputed officers. Imran Khan has not even spared the military.

Nisar Mohammad Khan is a highly reputed, honest and competent officer, besides the office of Chairman FBR is not the authority that could smuggle money out of the country as claimed by Imran Khan that Nisar Mohammad Khan smuggled/laundered billions abroad.

While making such allegations, Imran Khan must know that there are several other enforcement agencies at the country’s exit points including airports, which do not report to FBR. Moreover, if the money as claimed by Imran Khan is being exported, there has to be some destination country. Imran Khan must know that Nawaz Sharif is Prime Minister of Pakistan only and Nisar Mohammad Khan is the chief of Pakistan’s revenue body, and they cannot influence any other country to clear billions smuggled from Pakistan, particularly in an environment wherein the entire world has tightened the monitoring and anti-money laundering rules to maximum extent.

Imran Khan’s allegations on Nisar Mohammad Khan have not only hurt the moral of FBR officers, but it also defamed the country’s institutions before the entire world for no reason at all.
