KARACHI: The law and order situation in the country is deteriorating rapidly as high-profile business leaders and customs officials become targets of violent acts.

In a distressing incident, President of the Waziristan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Saif ur Rehman, Superintendent Customs Nisar Abbasi, and Inspector Khushhal were abducted by unidentified individuals while returning from Angoor Adda in Peshawar.

The abduction has cast a pall of fear over the business community, with leaders worried about their safety and security. The Customs fraternity is particularly incensed, seeing this as a direct attack on their ranks.

The terror continued as news emerged of another tragic event in Karachi. Mustafa, the son of Customs Principal Appraiser Aamir Shujah, was brutally murdered. In response, the police have arrested two individuals related to the case, and a thorough investigation is currently underway. The Customs community is boiling with rage over this heinous crime, demanding swift justice and stringent actions against the perpetrators.

Both incidents have fueled a widespread outcry among the business and customs communities, who now call for immediate measures to restore safety and justice. The situation remains tense as authorities work to address the growing concerns and prevent further escalation of violence.
