KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced new transfers for customs officials. These notifications mandate that officials and officers previously assigned to certain formations will be transferred to new formations, effective immediately.
Here are the key changes:
1. The Chief Collector of Customs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Custom House, Peshawar, will now be the Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement (North), Custom House, Peshawar.
2. The Chief Collector of Customs Balochistan, Custom House, Quetta, will become the Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement Balochistan, Custom House, Quetta.
3. The Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad, will be transferred to the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Islamabad.
4. The Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad International Airport, will change to the Collectorate of Customs Airports, Islamabad.
5. The Collectorate of Customs, Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, will be renamed the Collectorate of Customs Airports, Lahore.
6. The Collectorate of Customs, Gwadar, will be known as the Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Gwadar.
7. The Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Khuzdar, will become the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Gadani.
8. The Collectorate of Customs, Hyderabad, will change to the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Hyderabad.
9. The Collectorate of Customs, Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi, will be renamed the Collectorate of Customs Airports, Karachi.
10. The Directorate of IOCO (South), Karachi, will become the Collectorate of IOCO, Karachi.
11. The Directorate of IOCO (Central), Lahore, will be known as the Collectorate of IOCO, Lahore.
12. The Directorate of IOCO (North), Islamabad, will change to the Collectorate of IOCO, Islamabad.
These changes are part of the FBR’s ongoing efforts to streamline customs operations and improve efficiency across different regions.
