Karachi: Pakistan Customs intercepted a parcel containing 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ICE, at the International Mail Office (IMO) Exports on Shahra-e-Faisal.

The parcel, booked by Sofia Nadeem from Hyderabad and addressed to Mr. Mujahid Javed Khan in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was flagged for inspection based on actionable intelligence provided by Collector Adeem Khan and Additional Collector Muhammad Faisal. During the examination, customs officials discovered the narcotics concealed within hidden cavities of books.

The seized drugs have an estimated market value of approximately 15 million PKR. A chemical test conducted on the spot confirmed the substance as crystal methamphetamine.

Authorities have seized the narcotics and are in the process of lodging an FIR to apprehend the individuals involved and dismantle the drug trafficking network.
