KARACHI: On August 17, 2024, the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, led by Collector Basit Abbasi and DC ASO Syed Muhammad Raza Naqvi, acted on credible intelligence. The team comprised of Preventive Officers Saqlain Chadhar and Syed Asif Ali and others.
They intercepted a bus with registration MNL-5119 at Mochko Check Post on Hub River Road. During the operation, authorities discovered 3,250 banned Boostin injections.
One individual has been apprehended, and an FIR has been filed. The total value of the seized goods and the bus is approximately Rs. 15 million.
In a separate incident on August 14, 2024, the same enforcement team intercepted a Mazda with registration NAE-080 at Mochko Check Post. Concealed within cucumbers, they found approximately 7 kg of hashish (charas). Another person was arrested, and an FIR was lodged. The total value of the seized drugs and the Mazda amounts to approximately Rs. 12 million.
Additionally, the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement in Karachi intercepted two Mazdas (TKA-795 & NAF-745) near the Northern Bypass. These vehicles were carrying around 9,400 liters of Iranian diesel, hidden from view. The diesel’s value is approximately Rs. 2.5 million, while the seized Mazdas are valued at approximately Rs. 20 million.
