KARACHI: In a significant operation conducted by the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Karachi, approximately 30 tons of smuggled auto parts were seized from various ground-floor godowns at Arrows Auto Parts and Bearing Market in Saddar, Karachi. The operation, led by Deputy Collector Raza Naqvi, took place in the early hours of August 13th, 2024.

The successful raid was based on credible information received through Collector Basit Abbasi and Additional Collector Dawood Pirzado. Preventive Officers Saqlain Chadhar and Syed Asif Ali were also part of the team that executed the operation.

The recovered goods, valued at approximately Rs 20 million, were promptly transferred to the Collectorate’s warehouse using five rented Mazda vehicles. Legal proceedings are underway, and an FIR has been lodged against the culprits in the Customs Court.

This operation reflects the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to combatting the trade of smuggled goods and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Customs Enforcement team’s vigilance and coordinated efforts have contributed to curbing illegal activities in the auto parts market.
