GWADAR: I&I-Customs, Gwadar continues its aggressive anti-smuggling drive under the instructions of Director General I&I-Customs Faiz Ahmad.
Acting on the intel provided by an intelligence outfit, Director I&I, Gwadar Moeen Afzal Ali coordinated with Police of district which provided active and prompt support. A premises was raided in Emarat City Scheme in district Hub resulting in recovery huge quantities of contraband goods.
The seizures includes 4,251,500 sachets of Indian origin Gutkha (Z-21, Sana safina, Pan parag) valuing Rs. 127.54 million, 12.74 MTons of Betel nuts valuing Rs. 38.22 million and 120,000 sticks of cigarettes (Pine, Milano and Mond) valuing Rs. 3.6 Million.
The overall value of seizure comes to Rs. 169.36 million. The joint operation has become a big success and has been given active coverage by local and national media.
