KHUZDAR: In a successful intelligence based operation, Khuzdar Customs Mobile Squad has confiscated 38KG of high quality charas from a smugglers’ hideout in Qareebi Wer village at Wadh. The narcotics were hidden by the smugglers who could not transport them due to the tight surveillance of Customs authorities.
The RCD Highway, which connects Balochistan with other provinces, was once a favoured route for smugglers. However, the Khuzdar Customs team, led by Collector Imran Bukhari and assisted by Additional Collector Sajid Baloch, Deputy Collector Rana Umair and staff, has thwarted several attempts of smuggling in the recent months.
