KARACHI: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sent a letter to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) seeking permission to notify transfers and postings in Inland Revenue Service (IRS) and Pakistan Customs Service (PCS).
An official said transfers and postings needed to be notified to accommodate promoted officers; post officers at newly formed collectorates, while officers completing their tenures also needed to be shuffled.
It is expected the approval from ECP will be received in a couple of days followed by large scale transfers and postings in IRS and PCS.
The official said the upcoming shuffle will be of critical importance as Member Customs-FBR Zeba Hai is a performance oriented officer and postings will be notified accordingly.
