QUETTA: Customs Enforcement Quetta has seized smuggled goods worth Rs220 million in various operations conducted by field enforcement units at Lakpas, Noshki, Dalbandin, Ziarat Cross and Yaro check post, in a bid to curb the illegal trade in the province.

The goods include sugar, non-custom paid vehicles, LPG cylinders, tyres, auto parts, diesel, copper and aluminum and other miscellaneous items.

Operations were also conducted in the remote areas of the province. Chief collector Muhammad Saleem and Collector Quetta Irfan ur Rehman appreciated the work of field force.

Customs Quetta has expedited its efforts to prevent smuggling in Baluchistan, with the assistance of Frontier Corps (FC). It said that smuggling of sugar and wheat to Afghanistan has been stopped due to the joint efforts of Customs and FC.
