PESHAWAR: A ceremony was held at the Custom House Peshawar to commemorate International Customs Day, dedicated to the theme “Nurturing the Next Generation: Promoting a Culture of Knowledge-Sharing and Professional Pride in Customs.”

Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Mr. Asim Ahmad graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The day began with the laying of floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada at Custom House, Peshawar, followed by Guard of Honor, inspected by the Chief Guest. Afterwards, a graceful ceremony was held, attended by a large number of officers/officials from KP Customs, other services, civil armed forces, and representatives from trade bodies, and electronic/print media.

Mr. Asim Ahmad, Chairman FBR, Chief Collector Customs (KP), Mr. Mohammad Saleem, and Collector, Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement) Peshawar, Dr. Moin-Ud-Din Ahmad Wani highlighted the significance of Customs Day theme as well as the role and contribution of Customs to the national economy in terms of revenue collection, prevention of smuggling, and the protection of local industry. In the last, Honorable Chief Guest awarded Certifications of Merit to outstanding Officers/Officials of all field formations of KP Customs.
