KARACHI: By way of interim relief, release of goods imported by Al-Hatim Impex were ordered to be released by an appellate bench of High Court of Sindh on securing differential amount of custom duty and taxes with nazir of SHC.
Rana Sakhawat Advocate represented the petitioner company. He said that Revision Application against Valuation Ruling is pending before Director General of Custom Valuation. He submitted that in the meanwhile Petitioner is ready to secure the differential amount with Nazir SHC and to pay undisputed amount to the department. He prayed for provisional release saving the petitioner from incurring port charges and others.
The bench allowed the request linking the fate of disputed amount to the outcome of revision application. The petition was then disposed of.
