KARACHI: Member Customs (Operations) Mukaram Jah Ansari has forwarded the recommendations regarding transfers and postings of Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) officers to Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Asim Ahmed.
Highly reputed BS-20 officers including Amir Theim, Sanaullah Abro, Mumtaz Khoso have been recommended for the strategic positions of Appraisement East, Appraisement West and Enforcement Karachi.
The notification in this regard is likely to be issued this week.
Chairman FBR Asim Ahmed belongs to Inland Revenue Service (IRS). This is his second term as Chairman FBR. Asim Ahmed is a very reputed officer with sufficient understanding of both the groups i.e. Customs and Inland Revenue.
Top five BS-21 officers of PCS include Faiz Ahmed, Gul Rehman, Wajid Ali and Shahnaz Maqbool. Shahnaz Maqbool has been ignored throughout her carrier. She is a very competent and highly reputed officer. She is still awaiting posting for over a year.
BS-20 officer Zeba Azhar is also a very competent officer and was active against smuggling, and now she is facing multiple inquiries launched against her on the behest of smugglers and their supporters.
BS-20 officers who have remained posted on sensitive positions in the last couple of years and they delivered exemplary performance will continue to get strategic posts. These include Ashad Jawad, Tahir Qureshi, Fayyaz Rasool, Waheed MArwat, Irfan Javed, Saquif Saeed, Rashid Habib, Irfan ur rehman, Mohammad Saleem, Basit Abbasi, Irfan Wahid, Amir Theim, Asad Raza, Naima Batool, Kamran Khan, Aga Saeed, Farrukh Sajjad, Sanaullah Abro.
Well performing BS-19 officers include Afzal Wattoo, Yasin Murtaza, Umer Shafiq, Hasan Farid, Haroon Malik, Sheeraz Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi Kamboh, Khayal Mohammad, Fazle Shakoor, Aftab Khan, Ali Zaman Gardezi, Javaid Sarwar Sheikh, Sadia Sheeraz, Faisal Bukhari, Ahsan Khan, Qasim Khokhar, Moin Afzal, Asim Rehman, Saad Ata Rabbani, Honak Baloch, Tahir Abbas, Jamshed Talpur, Mushtaq Shahani, Rana Tasleem, Yusuf Magsi, Haye Sheikh.
