KARACHI: Chairman FBR Asim Ahmed has issued guidelines for Inland Revenue and Customs regarding transfers and postings of Inland Revenue Service (IRS) and Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) officers, sources said.
Acceding to the guidelines, officers have been on their current postings for less than one and a half year, and they have been performing well should be moved.
In case, any officer needs to be moved pre-mature, then proper reasons and justifications should be given in this regard. Sources said FBR Chairman Asim Ahmed does not want any lobbies operating within the departments.
An official said it was quite prudent that officers serve their full tenure, as this would provide all the opportunity for the officers to devise and implement their action plan.
