KARACHI: A custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh allowing an identical petition ordered release of another consignment of home appliances.
Manzar Hussain Memon Advocate appearing for M/s Adeel Enterprises submitted that petitioner has challenged the Valuation Ruling which is pending before the Director General Valuation.
The counsel for Petitioner submitted that they are ready to secure the differential amount of duty and taxes with Collector of Customs.
“In the circumstances,by way of an interim arrangement, since the consignment is securing storage charges at the port,let the un_disputed quantum of duties and taxes be deposited with the Collectorate/Department and disputed amount of duty and taxes be secured before the Collector of Customs by way of pay order (s)/bank guarantee in respect of the consignment (s) stipulated supra” ordered the bench while disposing of the petition adding that fate if the amount so secured will be condition ASL to the outcome of the decision of the Revision Application challenging VR.
