KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan and Justice Adnan Iqbal Chaudhry deciding a petition filed by importer Zahir Shah ordered release of the consignment free of any charge.
The bench earlier held Muhammad Ishaq Advocate, counsel for petitioner and Masooda Siraj appearing for the department.
The bench after detailed hearing ordered immediate release of the consignment. The bench also held that as the release was delayed due to fault of the department, no charges including demurrage or detention would be charged from the importer/petitioner.
