KARACHI: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Karachi has seized large quantity of narcotics, a 9MM pistol and a fishing boat worth Rs1.6 billion.
Information was passed through Director Saqif Saeed to Deputy Director Amjad Hussain Rajpar regarding movement of contraband items through a boat.
A team was formed comprising IOs Suha Siddiqui, Liaqat Ali, Irshad Ali and Humeruddin to foil the attempt. Subsequently, a stateless fishing boat was intercepted, and examination led to recovery of 109KG Crystal Meth, 111KG Brown Heroin, 13.25KH charas and a 9MM pistol (Zigana).
The valuie of the seized goods including the boat comes to Rs1.6 billion.
