QUETTA: Customs Quetta has seized large quantity of foreign origin smuggled goods from a Hino bus near Lakpas.
The customs staff intercepted a Hino bus on the basis of suspicion and checking of the vehicle led to recovery of American almonds, Chinese salt, insecticides and tyres. The value of the seized goods and vehicle comes to Rs57 million.
It may be mentioned here that in the directives of Chief collector Gul Rehman, Collector Quetta Irfan Javed and his team led by Additional Collector Yasir Kalwar, Deputy Collector Akbar Jan, Deputy collector Muhammad Zuhaib, Superintendent Tariq Sultan, Inspectors Shabbir Khan, Rehmatullah Khan, Ishaq George and others are keeping strict vigilance on the movement of smuggled goods.
It may be mentioned here that the Chaman borded has been opened by Taliban government and the movement of commercial traffic is on.
