SUKKUR: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Range Office Sukkur has seized large quantity of smuggled goods including edibles loaded in a passenger bus near Sabzi Market in Jacobabad, which was coming from Quetta towards different cities of Punjab.

In pursuance of information, Additional Director Jamshed Talpur tightened the vigilance and personally supervised monitoring of routes and check posts. A suspected bus was spotted, which was found to be stuffed with foreign origin skimmed milk powder, almonds, china salt, zeera and shoppers.

The driver of the vehicle could not produce legal documents regarding legitimate import and lawful possession of the goods. The value of the seized goods is Rs3.74 million.

In an earlier operation, I&I Sukkur recovered large quantity of smuggled print circuit boards worth Rs18.75 million. These goods were being transported from Karachi to upcountry.
