QUETTA: Customs Preventive Gaddani recovered large quantity of smuggled betel nut and footwear from a trailer-laden-container at Khurkhera. The value of the seized goods and vehicles comes to Rs52 million.
On the instructions of Chief Collector Balochistan Gul Rehman, Collector Tahir Qureshi is making strenuous efforts against smuggling.
Based on information, Preventive Division Gaddani intercepted a Hino Truck with 40 ft container at Khurkhera and on thorough check found secret cavities inside the container stuffed with 15 tons Betel Nut and foreign origin assorted sized footwear. The goods have been seized and investigations are underway.
Customs Gwadar is also starting a campaign against non-custom-paid vehicles.
