QUETTA: Customs staff posted at Noski Check Post on RCD highway has stopped/detained an empty 10 wheeler truck on suspicion of false cavities. On thorough checking 4.5 tons betel nuts is recovered from specially designed false cavities in the floor and side tanks of the truck.

The total market value of the foreign origin goods comes to an amount of Rs10 million and the value of detained truck is Rs8 million.

On the directives of Collector Irfan Javed, Deputy Collector Dr. Zohaib is focusing on Noshki check post and record number of cases have been made at Noshki Check Post.

Sources said smugglers were in close contact with BLA and BLA leaders were also providing escort to the vehicles smuggled goods and guided such vehicles through unconventional vehicles.
