ISLAMABAD: Justice Lubna Pervez of Islamabad High Court restrained Pakistan Custom officials from auctioning a consignment of imported body sprays or from taking any adverse action against importer company Kokab Enterprises.
The bench earlier heard Alsam Randhawa advocate who representing the petitioner stated that consignment is being held and custom officials are intending to impose duty and taxes on the basis of a Valuation Ruling which is older than 90 days. That would be in violation of Sadia Jabbar case ruling by Supreme court of Pakistan, the lawyer contended.
The bench after hearing initial arguments ordered issuance of notices to respondents for Jan 13 while seeking comments before 13_1_2021 while they were also restrained from any adverse action till next date of hearing.
