KARACHI: A petition seeking removal of name of an accused permanently from Exit Control List was dismissed by a customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh.

Choudhry Nadeem Iqbal an accused in import of vehicles transformed into Ambulance and then released seeking exemption from custom duty and taxes, moved the court through counsel Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate.

The bench after hearing arguments held that trial is proceeding before the Special Court for Customs, Excise & Taxation which is allowing the accused to travel abroad for short period whenever applied for hence the present petition and prayer is not maintainable.

The bench with the above observation dismissed the petition.
