KARACHI: A Toyota Indus car allegedly in used of custom officials was ordered to be produced before the Nazir of High Court of Sindh.
The order was passed by a customs appellate bench comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan while hearing a petition filed by Mumtaz Ali. Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate appearing for the petitioner told the bench that vehicle was detained by DIT from PECHS Karachi. She alleged that vehicle was in use of a custom official.
The bench fixing Aug 20 for hearing of the petition ordered production of the vehicle before next date of hearing.
The same bench also ordered production of a Toyota Hiace van, model 1997 owned by a petitioner Fayyaz Hussain. Pakistan Customs Hyderabad detained the vehicle.
