QUETTA: Customs Quetta has recovered 1,000 KG of high quality charas worth Rs210 million at Sibi Road near Kulpur Check Post.

Information was passed through Collector Irfan Javed that certain elements were trying to transport narcotics into the country taking advantage of the circumstances. Additional Collector Yasir Kalwar advised Deputy Collector Akbar Jan and Senior Preventive Officer Shahzad Akhtar to keep strict vigilance on Sibi Road.

A ten-wheeler truck coming from Quetta to interior country was stopped and search led to recovery of charas concealed in secret cavities of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle managed to escape.

It may be mentioned here that Customs Quetta has recovered 1.6 tons of narcotics worth Rs300 million in the last few days. Chief Collector Dr. Saifuddin Junejo and Collector Irfan Javed appreciated the efforts of Customs staff.
