QUETTA: Customs is all set to start a new Customs Station at Padani in Zhob at Pakistan-Afghan border, which would facilitate trade between the two neighbors. Padani station is expected to be started in two months.
Collector Quetta Appraisement Abdul Waheed Marwat had a meeting with Governor Baluchistan Amanullah Yaseen Zai and discussed the COVID19 SOPs as well as trade facilitation with Iran and Afghanistan.
Chaman and Taftan borders were closed on February 26, 2020 due to Corona pandemic. The border was opened on June 22, 2020 as it was open before the corona pandemic.

Padani is a new Custom station at Afghan border. It is being started. MArwat informed Governor Baluchistan that IT and banking infrastructure was not available, which was delaying the opening of Padani station.
Governor Baluchistan has ordered the civil administration to provide all the required infrastructure and security to Customs so that the new Customs Station is operanalised as soon as possible.
