ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has further extended the time for filing of Goods Declaration (GD) for all IGMs filed between April 07 to May 09, 2020.
“However, this order shall not be applicable in case any fine or penalty has already been paid by the importer,” an order dated May 04, 2020 noted.
It may be mentioned here that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had already extended the time for filing of Goods Declaration (GD) from 10 days of arrival of goods to further 15 days (total 25 days) for all IGMs filed between March 17 and April 07, 2020.
Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Khurram Aijaz in a letter to FBR, had requested to extend the time for filing of GDs as continued extension in lockdown by the government is causing delays in timely filing of GDs. Khurram Aijaz had urged the FBR to extend the timeline till May 09, 2020.
