ATLANTA: World Organization, a 501c3 charity operating the popular pet adoption website Rescue Me, announced the appointment of Dr. Larry Tilley as Advisory Board Member.
“There isn’t a single veterinarian in the U.S., or any other country, that won’t know Dr. Tilley’s name and face. Most veterinary offices have at least one if not several of Tilley’s standard of care books on their shelves,” said Jeff Gold, president of World Organization.
Dr. Tilley is a Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He has been named Veterinarian of the Year by the American Animal Hospital Association and has also been named International Veterinarian of the Year.
“I’ve followed Jeff Gold’s work with Rescue Me for 20 years, working with him on research projects and suggesting treatment protocols for unusual cases at Rescue Me’s Animal Rehabilitation Center. I look forward to my formalized role as Advisory Board Member,” said Dr. Larry Tilley.
In addition to his well-known veterinary work, Dr. Tilley is a top human medical researcher consulting with pharmaceutical companies, assisting in the development of new medications.
Dr. Tilley has authored and co-authored hundreds of scholarly articles, books and proceedings. His articles and research have been published in: JAVMA, JAVRS, JAAHA, VM/SAC, Canine Practice, Feline Practice, The American Journal of Pathology, Journal of Veterinary Radiology, Medical Education Dynamics, Medical Times, Comparative Pathology Bulletin, ACVIM Scientific Proceedings, and dozens of other publications.
Dr. Tilley has written and edited over 30 veterinary books that veterinarians depend on to provide current best standard of care in their practices including: Manual of Canine and Feline Cardiology, Blackwell’s Five-Minute Veterinary Consult, ECG for the Small Animal Practitioner, Canine and Feline Cardiac Arrhythmias Self Assessment, and Blackwell’s Five-Minute Veterinary Consult: Laboratory Tests and Diagnostic Procedures.
