KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue FBR has advised all Chief Commissioners of Inland Revenue to complete sales tax refund process by the end of this week i.e. April 20, 2020.
FBR, in a letter dated April 13th to all Chief Commissioners of Inland Revenue, noted Sales Tax Refund process was required to have been completed by the end of last week but it still remains inconclusive.
FBR added this process has to be completed by the end of this week, and no processing officer shall be allowed any leave until this process is completed.
In view of sensitivity of COVID-19 Relief Package implementation, this exercise has to be completed before 20th April, 2020 even if extended working hours are required including observance of Saturday and Sunday as working days.
