KARACHI: Cosco Shipping Lines, COllector Custom Port Muhammad Bin Qasim (PMBQ) and other respondents were put on notice for April 16 in a petition filed by Sinco Re_Rolling Mills. A division bench of High Court of Sindh earlier heard a counsel from Franklin Law Associates who contended that respondent shipping company is not issuing Delivery Orders (DO) in respect of the lawfully imported consignments on while duty and other charges have been paid. The shipping line is not issuing DO on pretext of some unpaid container charges in respect of previous consignments, the counsel from law firm submitted further adding that petitioner Sinco Re-Rolling is ready to secure the disputed amount before Nazir of SHC in the shape of bank guarantee or pay order to avoid delay in the release of their consignments. The SHC bench after hearing initial arguments calling comments from respondent shipping line as well as Custom authorities of PMBQ ordered issuance of pre-admission notice for April 16.
