QUETTA: Customs Quetta is pursuing a rigorous campaign against smuggled vehicles, as this dirty business is causing a revenue loss to the tune of billions of rupees to the national exchequer every year.
Customs Quetta led by Assistant Collector Rana Umair has setup snap checking on main arteries of the city, wherein documents of scores of vehicles were checked and several vehicles were detained for non-provision on import documents.
Talking to media, Rana Umair said the smuggling of vehicles was causing huge revenue loss to the national exchequer adding Pakistan Customs committed to eradicate smuggling of vehicles. He said that the ambit of the operation would be extended to adjacent areas of Quetta.
