QUETTA: Customs Quetta has seized large quantity of smuggled goods including Irani diesel in several operations. The Customs is pursuing a rigorous anti-smuggling campaign on the directives of Collector Preventive Dr. Iftikhar. Additional Collector Jameel Baloch is looking after the campaign.
The Customs staff recovered large quantity of smuggled tiles and petrol from a bus at Suryab Road. Moreover, 28,000 liters Irani diesel was recovered from a tanker at Panjgur Road. The diesel and the tanker were both seized.
Customs Quetta has also launched a crackdown on fuel stations dealing in smuggled commodity at Sorab and Khuzdar area. So far 12,000 liters of smuggled commodity has been confiscated. Inspectors Naseer Shaheen and Ahmed Zehri along with staff conducted the operation.
Further, Superintendent Saleem Agha, Inspectors Jameel Kakar, Asghar Kakar, Muhammad Tufail also recovered miscellaneous goods in various operations.
