KARACHI: MCC Preventive Quetta raided warehouses of notorious smuggler Haji Abdul Sadiq Achakzai and recovered large quantity of smuggled goods along with fake and forged documents. Four persons were arrested and four trucks load of goods were seized.

Haji Abdul Sadiq Achakzai and his brothers are accused in the murder of Deputy Collector MCC Preventive Quetta Dr. Abdul Qudoos Sheikh. The raid was conducted with the assistance of FC, Police and Levies.

On the directives of Collector Dr. Iftikhar, Additional Collector Jameel Baloch and Deputy Collector Asim Rehman are undertaking a rigorous anti-smuggling campaign. The MCC Preventive team headed by Assistant Collector Akmal Durrani warehouses at Suryab Road. The warehouses belong to Haji Abdul Sadiq and his brothers.

The raiding team recovered large quantity of smuggled goods including areca nut, gutka, machinery etc. Moreover, fake and forged GDs, bilty documents and other documents were also recovered.

Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Zahid Khokhar has also advised his team to continue the anti-smuggling campaign.

IG FC Maj. Gen. Fayyaz Hussain Shah during his visit to Customs House said the martyrdom of Deputy Collector Abdul Qudoos would not go in vain and the culprits would meet the logical end for their wrongdoings.

He said FC was always ready to assist Customs and would continue cooperating with the Customs authorities in their campaign against smuggling.
