KARACHI: The shipping lines sought time to file reply in a suit filed by Azeem Enterprises, importer of LED lights. Justice Junaid Ghaffar heard the counsel for plaintiff who maintained that SHC while deciding a petition ordered customs to issue delay detention certificate and waiver of demurrage. The delay was due to dispute that whether the identical items are being manufactured locally.
The counsel from Franklin Law Associates submitted that shipping companies are not complying with the orders of the high court.
The shipping lines represented by different counsels sought time to solve the dispute. The bench allowed the request and ordered that replied be submitted within two week time.
