KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation Karachi has made several cases involving recoverable revenue of Rs335.301 million during March 01 to April 15, 2019 and also affected recovery of Rs10.437 during the period.

Since Irfan Javed assumed the office of Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Karachi, the directorate has embarked upon an endeavor to augment its efficiency in order to plug revenue leakages and amplify its enforcement activities.

The Directorate detected smuggling, mis-declaration, under-invoicing and revenue evasion on the import of gasoline engines, Tribasic Lead Sulphate, auto parts, wire enamel varnish, artificial jewelry, batteries, fabrics, motherboard for mobile phones, telecom equipment and milk enhancement Boostin injections.

Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Karachi also affected recovery of Rs3.818 million on cases detected prior to March 01, 2019.
