KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the last date for filing income tax returns for tax year 2018 up to April 30, 2019, Tax Circular No. 03 issued on Sunday noted.

The FBR said that the date of filing of returns of total income / statement of final taxation which were due on August 31, 2018 and extended up to March 31, 2019 has been further extended to April 30, 2019.

The date of filing of returns of total income / statement of final taxation for companies, individuals and association of persons which were due on September 30, 2018 and extended up to March 31, 2019 has been further extended to April 30, 2019.

The date of filing of returns of total income / statement of final taxation for companies which were due on December 31, 2018 and extended up to March 31, 2019 has been further extended to April 30, 2019.

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has received over 1.8 million income tax returns for tax year 2018, a statement said on Sunday.

“The FBR for the first time in its history has crossed the mark of 1,800,000 Income Tax Return filers for Tax year 2018,” it said.
