KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) hearing a petition filed by M.J Textile ordered DIT of Pakistan Customs to release a consignment of fabric detained on suspicion of being of Indian origin.[the_ad id=”31605″]The consignment was detained after search of a ware house. A lawyer from Franklin Law Associates appearing for the petitioner company M.J Textile submitted that the Order in Original (ONO) was passed in the favour of the importer.
As the department was not implementing the order and after lapse of 90 days period, the instant petition was filed.
The counsel also stated that no appeal was filed and hence relief be given to the petitioner side.
The bench after hearing both the sides ordered DIT to release the fabric consignment of M.J Textile within seven days and report compliance.
